Guglatech tutorials and guides

An overview

Most of the filters fit into the filler neck of the petrol tank. To insert the filter carefully roll it into a cigar like tube and gently push it down into place. You now need to carefully unfold the filter inside the tank. DO NOT use anything with a sharp end such as a screwdriver, however tempting that may be. If you pierce a hole through the membrane the filter will be useless. Ideally use the "head" end of a large zip-tie or some plastic tube as long as it has some flex in it. Above all take your time, get it right and it will last you the life of the bike!

Some filters are described as "drop-in" and as long as you observe the notes above that's all there is to it, just open the petrol cap and insert the filter. Other filters require some dismantling of the bodywork before installation in which case please follow the pdf guide or youtube links below.

Some customers have reported that inserting a carefully folded zip tie into the filter can improve refuelling times. Please follow this link to see details of the "Green Boy trick".
