This model is supplied "Desert Ready" pre-oiled and ready for your next off-road adventure.

“Dry” use is recommended only on normal street. For dusty roads, desert and extreme conditions, it is better to oil the filter. You can use any brand of the best quality, both for cotton or foam.

Note: due to the design of the airbox, it is highly recommended to seal all matching surfaces, both where the rubber “frame” of the filter sits. Simple Lithium grease put with the finger will suffice.

If you are looking for the maximum protection in every condition and ultra cost reduction this is for you. The mesh is reinforced by a wire screen. This means the filter can be cleaned with compressed air and soapy water without damage to the filter so you can use it over and over again. Basically, this is the last air filter you’ll ever need for your bike.

Installation is quick and easy, the same process as changing an OEM paper filter although to avoid airbox imperfection we recommend to use some sealing or lithium grease on the contact surface. When ordering please list your bike’s make, model, and year in the order notes.

Not compatible with KTM 690 MS/R 07-12 Not recommended for Husqvarna 701. Husqvarna made a change to the 701 airbox, and it’s not quite as deep as the airbox on the 690. Check your airbox – you’ll need 66mm clearance below the rim (the shoulder where the air filter sits in the box).
